Alison Forbes is a Change Leadership Strategist, helping those who will make a difference in our organisations, society and quality of life, find their strongest platform and clear path to the impact they need to make.  

Alison has a diverse background – she began her career as a research physicist, before making the move to an IT consulting role in industry – and it is this combination of real life delivery and a deep understanding of how complex systems (such as our organisations) engage and deliver most easily that has been at the root of success for both Alison and her clients.

As a PhD physicist with expertise in modelling, predicting and using complex and resonant systems, she has now specialised in complex adaptive system theory and its application to the 'new science' of change leadership and organisational development. She is expert in helping the change leaders of today (and tomorrow) align their path and approach with the dynamics that will ensure their success. This enables them to step fully into their role, find the way to the hidden order in their business and the market, and in doing so develop the clarity and special perspective that the ability to see patterns and order in complexity can bring.

Working with leaders and their workforce, she connects their career path with the ability to use their unique gifts and strengths, and helps them stretch this towards excellence to achieve their maximum potential.
Using these principles, Alison has successfully managed an unbroken record of change implementations in her own career in the most challenging of environments - including responsibility for a banking infrastructure upgrade that was part of one of the largest IT programmes in Europe at that time. Although a full time coach, she retains a directorial interest in this successful and profitable IT consulting business she founded with her husband.

She lives and works in Edinburgh, Scotland and has an international client base, travelling to the USA on a regular basis. Her hobbies and interests include horse riding, hill walking, yoga and spending time with her family and dog!
